Job summary

Bliffert Lumber in Wisconsin is seeking an Inside Sales Associate to be the first point of contact for contractors and homeowners, helping them find solutions and quotes.

You will support daily sales operations, process orders, and collaborate with the sales team to ensure fast, accurate service while expanding product knowledge in doors, windows, decking, trim, and more. This role offers a hands-on learning environment with mentoring and a Monday-Friday schedule.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service or sales experience preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to build rapport and establish relationships with customers.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to learn company systems.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to stand, sit, walk, and navigate stairs throughout the workday.
• Ability to occasionally lift and carry products weighing up to 25 pounds.
• Commitment to workplace safety and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service & Relationship Management: Create a positive experience for every customer interaction and build strong relationships with retail and contractor customers.
• Sales & Order Processing: Enter and process customer orders, prepare quotes, and explain product features, pricing, and terms.
• Product Knowledge & Team Collaboration: Develop building materials knowledge and participate in training to support customers and teammates.
• Billing & Administrative Tasks: Assist with billing activities as needed and maintain accurate records.
• Safety & Compliance: Follow safety policies and maintain a professional work environment.
