Job summary

Oklo is hiring a Sodium Test Engineer in Idaho Falls to develop and operate test platforms for molten sodium systems. You will lead test setup, execution, data validation, and reporting, while contributing to the growth of lab capabilities and safety protocols.

Travel up to 10% is required as part of project work. The ideal candidate has direct molten sodium experience, hands-on lab exposure, and strong technical reporting skills to document methods, results, and conclusions for continuous

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related technical field (mechanical/chemical/nuclear/materials).
• Direct knowledge or hands-on experience with molten sodium or molten alkali metals.
• Experience developing test plans, procedures, calculations, or technical reports.
• Ability to read P&ID, PFD, drawings, electrical schematics, and vendor docs.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

• Develop and operate test platforms for molten sodium systems.
• Lead or support test setup, readiness reviews, and post‑test activities.
• Validate data, assess uncertainties, and report results with conclusions.
• Help establish laboratory capabilities, calibration, and safety procedures.
• Travel up to 10% as required for work with teams.
