Job summary

Florida Bladder Institute in Naples, FL is seeking a Molecular Technologist to perform DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, sequencing, and other molecular diagnostics in a physician's office laboratory, reporting to the Lab Director and Office Manager. The role involves handling patient samples with precision, operating PCR machines and analyzers, and ensuring compliance with CLIA and Florida state regulations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in clinical laboratory science or related field.
• Experience in molecular diagnostics in clinical/healthcare settings.
• Proficiency in PCR and nucleic acid purification.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
• Attention to detail and adherence to QC standards.
• Familiarity with LIS/EMR is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform molecular testing procedures including DNA/RNA extraction and PCR.
• Sequence and interpret PCR results.
• Operate and maintain PCR machines, centrifuges and analyzers.
• Ensure patient samples are handled with care and integrity.
• Maintain accurate records and comply with CLIA and Florida state regs.
• Collaborate with director and staff on daily and SOPs.
• Contribute to validation and development projects.
