Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a Technologist Trainee to join the Molecular Micro team in Burlington, NC. This role supports specimen testing, instrument operation, and quality control within a clinical laboratory setting.

New grads are welcome; full training is provided. The position follows a Sunday-Thursday schedule, 7:00am-3:30pm, with opportunities to grow in a large, global diagnostics company that emphasizes patient care and data-driven healthcare solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Chemical or Biological science, Clinical Laboratory Science or Medical Technology.
• Non-traditional degrees with applicable science credits may meet education requirements.
• Familiarity with laboratory information systems and policies/procedures.

Responsibilities

• Determine the acceptability of specimens for testing according to established criteria.
• Perform routine and complex technical procedures and functions according to SOPs.
• Monitor, operate and troubleshoot instrumentation to ensure proper functionality.
• Demonstrate the ability to make technical decisions regarding testing and problem solving.
• Prepare, test and evaluate new reagents or controls.
• Report accurate and timely test results to deliver quality patient care.
