Job summary

Labcorp in Raritan, NJ is hiring a Lab Assistant to support processing and handling clinical specimens. This overnight shift runs Wednesday through Sunday, 12:00 AM to 8:30 AM, offering a hands-on role in a busy laboratory environment.

You will receive and sort specimens, prepare them for testing, perform data entry, and maintain equipment and a clean, safe work area while following standard operating procedures.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 months or more of specimen processing experience.
• 3 months or more of medical or laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Receive and sort clinical lab specimens
• Prepare specimens for testing and analysis
• Scan and/or data entry of specimen and patient information
• Ensure all lab equipment is working properly and perform minor instrumentation maintenance
• Troubleshoot any specimen related issues
• Replenish test bench supplies as needed
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment
• Complete record logs and other administrative duties as requested
• Follow all Standard Operating Procedures to ensure safety and quality standards
