Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in physical science; medical technology preferred.
• New York State Clinical Laboratory Technologist license or limited permit required with provisional permit within 3 months.
• Experience with laboratory information systems and automated equipment.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency tests on blood, serum, spinal fluid and other body fluids using automated and manual equipment.
• Review data prior to release and report any panic or abnormal values.
• Maintain QC data and resolve QC failures per procedures.
• Prepare reagents, inventory, and assist with LIS entry as needed.
• Maintain records and logs; may supervise and train staff.
