Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center’s Division of Clinical Pathology seeks a Clinical Laboratory Technologist for the Einstein campus Rapid Response Lab. The role performs routine and emergency tests on blood and body fluids using automated and manual systems, and maintains equipment and records as per QA/QC standards.

The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in a physical science or medical technology, and NYS CLT license or limited permit with provisional permit within three months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a physical science or medical technology preferred.
• New York State CLT license or a limited permit required; provisional permit within three months.
• Experience with LIS systems and automated lab equipment is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and emergency tests on blood and body fluids using automated and manual equipment.
• Review data prior to release and report abnormal values.
• Maintain QC data and logs, assist with training and telephone support as needed.
• Maintain instruments and inventory; ensure infection control practices.
