Job summary
Aera Therapeutics in Cambridge, MA is seeking a talented molecular biologist to design, build, and test mRNA constructs to advance our RNA platform. Qualifications
- BS/MS/PhD in engineering or life sciences with relevant lab experience
- Hands-on molecular biology: cloning, PCR, sequencing
- RNA handling and RNase-free workflows
- Experience with automated liquid handling platforms for high-throughput assays
- Mammalian cell culture and transfection experience
- Understanding of how sequence features affect protein expression
Responsibilities
- Design and clone mRNA expression constructs and perform in vitro transcription
- Transfect mammalian cells and quantify protein expression via Western blot, ELISA, or flow cytometry
- Develop and automate in vitro assays to increase throughput
- Integrate data across assays to interpret sequence-feature impacts
- Represent mRNA design on cross-functional teams with delivery/CMC
- Maintain electronic records and present data at team meetings
