Job summary

Avrok Biosciences seeks a Molecular Biologist / Lab Associate II to join our in-house lab team. The candidate will perform routine molecular testing, including DNA/RNA extraction and PCR workflows, with minimal supervision in a fast-paced setting.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in a related field and at least 3 years of lab experience, with strong attention to detail, teamwork, and communication. In-person position with competitive benefits and PTO.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a relevant scientific discipline.
• Minimum of 3 years of professional laboratory experience.
• Hands-on experience with PCR, including real-time PCR.
• DNA/RNA extraction techniques experience.
• Strong accuracy, organization and reliability.
• Good teamwork and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine laboratory testing and related activities under minimal supervision.
• Conduct DNA/RNA extraction and downstream molecular workflows.
• Perform PCR and real-time PCR assays accurately and consistently.
• Maintain organized, complete laboratory records and documentation.
• Support day-to-day laboratory operations including sample handling and equipment upkeep.
• Follow procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
• Collaborate with team members across functions to ensure efficiency.
• Contribute to a clean, well-organized laboratory environment.
