Legend Biotech USA in Somerset, NJ is seeking a Scientist, Molecular Assays to join the Bioanalytical Sciences team. You will develop, execute, and optimize molecular assays for clinical and preclinical programs, focusing on qPCR, ddPCR, and NGS workflows.

The ideal candidate has hands-on molecular biology experience, strong attention to detail, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced biotech environment supporting cell and gene therapy programs.

Qualifications

• MS with 8+ years of relevant experience or PhD with 3+ years.
• Hands-on molecular biology including nucleic acid extraction, qPCR, RT-qPCR, and/or ddPCR.
• Experience with NGS workflows and library preparation; single-cell sequencing a plus.
• Experience in cell and gene therapy, immunology, oncology, or regulated labs.
• Strong attention to detail, organization, and documentation; team player.

Responsabilités

• Perform molecular biology experiments supporting clinical, translational, and preclinical research.
• Execute qPCR and ddPCR for expression analysis, biomarker quantification, transgene detection, vector copy number, and biodistribution.
• Support development, qualification, transfer, and troubleshooting of molecular assays.
• Perform nucleic acid extraction, quantification, and quality assessment from diverse samples.
• Prepare samples and library prep for NGS applications including scRNA-seq.
• Operate and maintain qPCR, ddPCR, and NGS platforms; analyze data and maintain docs.
• Manage samples using LIMS/ELN; assist in SOPs, protocols, and assay reports.
• Support lab operations, inventory, shipments, calibration, and upkeep.
