Experis Technology Group’s client, a leading biotechnology organization in the United States, seeks a USA - Molecular and Cellular Biologist - I - USD to join their R&D team in Andover, MA. The role focuses on mammalian cell culture and recombinant protein production, with responsibilities spanning experimental design and data interpretation.

You will work with cross-disciplinary scientists, document findings in reports and manuscripts, and contribute to innovative bioprocessing projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, bioengineering, systems biology, or related field.
• Zero to two years of relevant laboratory experience.
• Hands-on skills in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute molecular and cellular biology experiments involving transfection, passaging, and sampling of CHO cell cultures for multi-omics analyses.
• Examine gene copies, transcript levels, protein folding, assembly, trafficking, secretion, and degradation through experimental procedures.
• Analyze and interpret data using statistical, bioinformatics, and pathway-analysis tools to derive meaningful insights.
• Document findings thoroughly and prepare technical reports, presentations, and manuscripts to communicate results effectively.
• Collaborate with cell-line development scientists, bioprocess engineers, analytical scientists, and computational biologists to advance project goals.

What's Needed?

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, biotechnology, bioengineering, systems biology, or a related field.
• Zero to two years of relevant laboratory or biotechnology-industry experience.
• Proficiency in mammalian cell culture and molecular biology techniques such as aseptic technique, transfection, DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, qPCR, electrophoresis, molecular cloning, DNA/RNA sequencing, immunoblotting, FACS, and microscopy.
• Familiarity with multi-omics study design, bioinformatics, statistical analysis, and systems biology approaches.
• Strong understanding of molecular cell biology fundamentals including DNA replication, transcription, translation, proteostasis, metabolism, and cellular stress mechanisms.
