Job summary

Qualifications

• Advanced communication skills with ability to delegate daily assignments.
• High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree preferred.
• 3-5 years of experience in a Manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Excellent planning and leadership abilities.
• Strong knowledge of safety rules and regulations.
• Able to function in a leadership role and interact positively with employees and supervisors.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint, Excel).
• Commit to spend at minimum 70% of time on the shop floor

Responsibilities

• Promote and enforce a strong safety culture throughout the molding department.
• Oversee daily green sand molding operations to meet production schedules and customer requirements.
• Monitor mold line performance and departmental productivity.
• Coordinate staffing and manpower allocation to optimize workflow.
• Minimize downtime by working with maintenance and engineering.
• Track and report KPIs including molds produced, efficiency, scrap, and downtime.
• Lead, train, coach, and develop molding personnel.
• Foster teamwork, accountability, and employee engagement.
• Drive continuous improvement and Lean initiatives.
• Identify opportunities to improve molding efficiency and reduce rework and scrap.
• Communicate production priorities and performance expectations to team members.
