Job summary

Sonoco Products Company in Chatham, NY is seeking a Process Technician to operate injection molding equipment, set up molds, document processes, and ensure product quality. You will work with maintenance, QA, and material handling to meet specifications while maintaining a clean, safe production area.

Previous injection molding experience and the ability to read drawings are required. The role offers on-site work with competitive hourly pay and benefits.

Qualifications

• 1 year hands-on injection molding processing experience.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to read technical drawings and setup sheets.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Start up machines to a standard process with documentation.
• Inspect molds and machines for wear, damage, or defects.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization in production and support daily team maintenance tasks.
• Collaborate with maintenance, material handling, inspector packers and quality control to meet specs.
• Ensure accurate documentation and data communication across shifts and departments.
• Follow all safety protocols and company policies.
