Job summary

Sonoco is seeking a Process Technician in Chatham, NY to operate and start up molding equipment, inspect molds, and maintain production quality across shifts.

You will document processes, collaborate with maintenance and quality teams, and follow safety protocols while supporting continuous improvement in a fast-paced environment. Minimum 1 year hands-on experience and a high school diploma are required; pay is $30.56–$34.01 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• 1+ year hands-on injection molding processing experience.
• High attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to read technical drawings and setup sheets.

Responsibilities

• Start up machines to standard process with documentation.
• Inspect molds and machines for wear or defects and troubleshoot.
• Maintain cleanliness and organize production area, support daily maintenance.
• Collaborate with maintenance, material handling, quality control to meet specs.
• Document data and communicate learnings across shifts.
