Job summary

US Farathane Orion in Orion, MI is seeking a full-time Molding Manager responsible for directing projects and delivering continuous process and tooling improvements within the facility.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in injection molding, project management, and lean methods, with strong knowledge of MRP, quality control, and cost reduction initiatives. Travel as needed to support global standards and customer requirements.

Qualifications

• Minimum of ten years’ experience in process engineering, tooling, equipment and process improvement.
• Injection molding (part design and processing) experience.
• Strong technical project management, manufacturing engineering, SPC capability, and problem-solving skills.
• Lean manufacturing experience including Kepner-Trego, 5 Why, and Six Sigma.
• Proficient in MRP, quality control, purchasing, and accounting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate current processes and GAP analysis from global standards.
• Assist team with identifying process improvements and cost reduction opportunities to include scrap and usage.
• Responsible for equipment installation, tooling design, documentation, and assessment.
• Train and implement product and process improvement.
• Troubleshoot issues for new and existing processes.
• Communicate standards and troubleshooting globally.
