Description

Job Summary: Operates compression and injection molding machines which mold thermoplastic and thermosetting plastics into products for world-class electronic connector use.

Job Responsibilities:

1. Operate and monitor transfer injection molding machines.
2. Handle raw materials, add and remove products from machine bins.
3. Clean and maintain molding machines daily to ensure good condition.
4. Clean and de-flash fabricated molds.
5. Monitor machines and products to ensure quality conformance to customer requirements.
6. Rework or sort red tags according to departmental guidelines.
7. Ensure the quality of produced products.
8. Set up machines for production, change molds as needed.
9. Load and unload machine hoppers.
10. Perform machine startup and shutdown procedures.
11. Read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, operating instructions; use measuring tools daily.
12. Maintain daily production records.
13. Adhere to all safety and health policies to protect oneself and coworkers.
14. Identify workplace hazards and report them to management or safety coordinators.
15. Collaborate with EHS department to meet regulatory requirements (OSHA, NFPA, DNR, EPA) and sustainability practices.
16. Work with Quality department to meet standards for AS9100 certification.
17. Comply with company policies and procedures.
18. Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

1. High school diploma or GED.
2. 1 to 3 months of experience or training.
3. Passage of testing for ABC certification program.
4. Physical ability to handle materials, climb, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly, occasionally up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Shift: First Shift (M-W 5:00am - 5:30pm)
