Job Description Summary

Molding Operators attend injection molding machines and are responsible for safety, quality, and housekeeping of their respective areas. Shift is from 7 PM to 7 AM. Operators work in a team environment and report to a shift supervisor.

Key responsibilities include:

  1. Perform all tasks in molding and operate equipment at or above standards while maintaining quality and GMP standards.
  2. Monitor operations for product quality and equipment performance.
  3. Make authorized adjustments to equipment to maintain process quality and productivity.
  4. Ensure product quality through in-process checks, documentation, review, requalification, and rework.
  5. Seek assistance from set-ups & cell leads to meet production and quality goals.
  6. Perform or assist with product or equipment changeovers.
  7. Assist with equipment repair, troubleshooting, and preventive maintenance.
  8. Keep machinery and work areas neat, follow GMP requirements.
  9. Perform quality inspections, process tests, and record data accurately.
  10. Maintain accurate documentation for reporting PPH, scrap/waste, SAP, and MES transactions.
  11. Identify and report issues to the Cell Lead.
  12. Participate in problem-solving activities like Blitz, Kaizens, KAS.
  13. Work effectively with team members for shift transfer and communication.
  14. Support business needs by working overtime as required.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and experience:

  • High School Diploma/G.E.D. preferred or 2 years of manufacturing experience.

BD emphasizes on-site collaboration, requiring a minimum of 4 days/week in the office, with flexibility for remote roles as specified. Employment may require proof of COVID-19 vaccination or testing, subject to accommodations.
