Job summary

OPmobility is seeking a Site Injection Tooling Technician to maintain mould tools, perform breakdowns, and uphold safety in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You will manage tool maintenance schedules, document work, and support plant projects and trials to drive improvements in first-pass yield and overall reliability.

Ideal candidates bring a diploma in toolmaking or tool maintenance with 3–5 years’ experience in mechanical tool upkeep, TIG/MIG welding, and preventative maintenance,

Qualifications

• Diploma level education with preferred specialization in toolmaking, tool maintenance or equivalent.
• Experience in a large manufacturing environment with problem-solving and adherence to industrial standards.

Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with corporate and division HSE objectives and requirements
• Carry out breakdowns and services in an effective and safe manner
• Follow a controlled tool maintenance schedule to ensure tools are managed at a superior level
• Maintain all moulds on site according to the procedure and agreed standard
• Prioritize breakdowns, rectifying problems and minimizing downtime
• Support all production areas as required
• Achieves improvement in product RFT through a dedication to tool management and quality.
• Document all work, repairs or modifications carried out on the tools on site
• Analyze previous problems from historical data to assist in fault finding on site
• Undertake all tasks within the agreed shift pattern and cover call out as per schedule
• During project phase, participate in mold strip downs in collaboration with plant engineer, engineering center and tool makers
• Supports new project trials and offsite activities, preparing tools for plant industrialization, participates in trails and propose improvements
• Support SMED activities
