Job summary

Mauser Packaging Solutions is seeking a Maintenance Mold Technician to maintain, repair, troubleshoot, and improve injection molds and tooling for safe, efficient production. The role requires strong mechanical aptitude, hands-on mold maintenance experience, and welding skills to repair mold components.

You will collaborate with Maintenance, Production, and Engineering to minimize downtime and maintain product quality.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 3–5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
• Strong understanding of injection mold design, function, and materials.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
• Ability to read documents such as procedures, blueprints, and schematics.
• Solving practical problems with good troubleshooting and independent work ability.

Responsibilities

• Performs routine preventive maintenance on all production tools.
• Repairs molds as required by welding and machining.
• Oversees all work and work orders for all molds.
• Manages SMED changes to production molds.
• Organizes inserts and maintains cabinets.
• Monitors mold downtime and reports.
• Directs team members in daily workload and works with vendors on repairs.
• Maintains safe inventory of mold parts and initiates purchase orders.
