Job summary

Airspeed Manufacturing - USA is seeking an Injection Mold Tooling Maintenance Specialist to ensure reliable tooling and high uptime. You will install, align, and secure plastic injection molds, perform preventive maintenance, and diagnose mold issues to minimize downtime.

You’ll collaborate with Molding Technicians, Production, Engineering, Quality, and Maintenance to keep runs on schedule. The role requires hands-on mold experience, strong mechanical skills, and the ability to document changes

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with plastic injection molds or tooling maintenance.
• Ability to install, remove, changeover, and perform mechanical repairs independently.
• Knowledge of mold construction, clamping, ejection, and cooling systems.
• Troubleshoot tooling problems and understand production/quality impact.
• Proficient with measuring tools and mechanical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Independently install, align, and secure molds in presses.
• Perform safe changeovers to meet production schedules.
• Carry out preventive maintenance on molds and tooling.
• Diagnose mold issues (sticking parts, ejection, cooling restrictions).
• Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble molds and components.
• Connect/disconnect cooling, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Record changeovers, inspections, and repairs; maintain tool storage.
• Follow lockout/tagout and safety procedures.
