US Farathane Corporation is seeking a Tooling Supervisor in Tennessee to oversee the tool room, manage mold repair activities, and drive productivity, quality, and safety to satisfy internal and external customers.

The role involves direct supervision of tool room staff, coordinating repair work, and ensuring adherence to budgets and policies across shifts. Strong tooling background and supervisory experience are essential for success.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of tooling experience in a manufacturing environment (preferably plastics or automotive).
• 3+ years supervisory experience in a tooling environment.
• Must have excellent technical and mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Directly supervise all tool room associates on the shop floor.
• Coordinate tooling repair activity to meet plant quality and schedule requirements.
• Direct plant tool repair activity to meet plant efficiency and utilization targets.
• Control outside tool repair costs as much as possible.
• Maintain performance to Tool Room budget while working with Process Eng. Manager.
• Troubleshoot issues on new and existing processes.
• Develop a measurement tool to ensure output equates to staffing.
• Provide support to all three shifts.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures (quality policy manual, employee handbook).
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in respective areas.
• Carry out supervisory responsibilities per plans, policies and laws.
• Train employees; Plan, assign and direct work; Appraise performance of direct reports.
• Address complaints and resolve problems within tooling department and use progressive discipline for issues.
• Troubleshoot and repair molds, providing guidance (hands-on).
• Other duties as assigned.
