Job summary

US Farathane is seeking an experienced 3rd shift Tool Repair Technician to provide tool building and repairing support for optimal productivity, quality, and safety. The role requires extensive experience with plastic injection molds and mold repair, plus the ability to read tooling and circuit diagrams.

You will maintain tools, perform preventative maintenance, assist engineers, and train associates in proper tool care while ensuring proper inventory levels and adherence to OSHA safety

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience with plastic injection molds.
• Minimum 7 years’ experience in mold making/repair.
• Experience reading tooling prints, hydraulic and electrical circuit prints/diagrams.
• Must have own toolbox and mold making/repair tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tools in optimal operating condition.
• Perform preventative maintenance on tools.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing tools.
• Train associates in proper care and use of tools.
• Maintain inventory levels of replacement parts.
• Follow internal tooling procedures and safety rules.
• Assist engineers and technicians in process improvements.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Keep work area clean and organized.
• Maintain accurate records of tool repairs and changes.
