Job summary

US Farathane Corporation seeks an experienced Tool Room Technician to provide tool build and repair support, ensuring productivity, quality, and safety for internal and external customers.

Qualification includes extensive mold making/repair experience, CNC/EDM/Mill exposure, and ability to read tooling and circuit prints. Candidates must be US-authenticated to work without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• 5+ years’ experience with plastic injection molds and 7+ years in mold making/repair.
• Experience operating machinery including overhead crane.
• Ability to read tooling prints, hydraulic and electrical circuit prints and diagrams.
• Technical training and/or experience on CNC, EDM and Mill.
• Must have own toolbox and mold making/repair tools.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Maintain tools in optimal operating condition.
• Perform preventative maintenance activities.
• Assist in troubleshooting and repairing tools.
• Assist Supervisor in training associates in proper care and use of tools.
• Ensure inventory levels of replacement parts for all tools.
• Follow internal tooling procedures and safety policies.
• Support process engineers and tech center with process improvements.
• Participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping in the work area.
• Document tool repairs and changes accurately and timely.
