Southco is seeking a Mold Service Technician to ensure production needs are met by keeping tooling serviced and ready for scheduled runs. You will work with the Toolroom Manager and production staff, performing inspections, repairs, and documentation with a good degree of autonomy.

Key responsibilities include maintaining molds, training teammates on new molds, and coordinating tool repairs to minimize downtime. A high school diploma and strong mechanical aptitude are required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of diecast molds and processes.
• Ability to inspect tooling for damage or wear and coordinate repairs.
• Basic maintenance of molds to keep them ready for production.

Responsabilités

• Inspect tooling for damage or wear and coordinate repairs.
• Clean molds and return to storage in ready-for-production condition.
• Record mold damage and repairs in the mold database.
• Perform simple repairs on tooling components.
• Review production schedule and suggest changes to sequencing.
• Update setup sheets and maintain documentation.
• Train others on mold service techniques and tooling changes.
• Maintain knowledge by reviewing tooling with mold makers.
