Job summary

Akkodis is seeking a Cost Estimator for our Auburn Hills, MI facility. This onsite role focuses on preparing cost estimates and RFQ management from CAD data and specifications.

Ideal candidates will have a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, experience with tool RFQs, and knowledge of injection mold processes. You will interact with suppliers and internal teams to deliver accurate quotations and maintain customer relationships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
• Ability to interpret technical drawings and documents.
• Experience with tool RFQs and mold design feasibility.
• Knowledge of injection mold build processes and molding costs.
• Experience with CAD viewers such as Catia or Unigraphics.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cost estimates and price quotations for new work and changes.
• Coordinate preparation of estimates on project continuations.
• Estimate labor and material costs from CAD data and specs.
• Gather information for quotations from external sources.
• Develop RFQ processes with the supply chain department.
• Estimate COGS and profit margin.
• Determine lead times and tooling change orders.
• Build and maintain positive customer relationships.
