Job summary
Banner Engineering Corp in Minneapolis, MN is seeking a Mold Technician to support maintenance, repair, and continuous improvement of injection molds used in our manufacturing operations. You will partner with production, maintenance, engineering, tooling suppliers, and quality teams to optimize molding processes and improve tooling reliability.
This on-site role requires an Associate degree in Tool & Die or related field and 5+ years of hands-on mold experience.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Tool & Die or related field preferred.
- 5+ years of experience with injection molds in manufacturing.
- Hands-on mold maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting experience.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and specifications.
- Experience with measuring equipment (calipers, micrometers, indicators).
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
Responsibilities
- Mold maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting to ensure uptime.
- Support mold setup, startup, and qualification activities.
- Identify root causes of molding defects and recommend improvements.
- Coordinate with external shops for rebuilds and tooling upgrades.
- Lead efforts to improve mold reliability and reduce downtime.
