Job summary

Banner Engineering seeks a Mold Technician to support injection mold operation, maintenance, and continuous improvement. You will ensure molds produce high-quality parts while minimizing downtime and costs, collaborating with production, maintenance, engineering, tooling suppliers, and quality teams.

The role requires strong hands-on mold maintenance and repair skills, reading engineering drawings, and a proactive approach to root-cause analysis and process optimization.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Tool & Die, Manufacturing Technology, Plastics Technology, or equivalent experience preferred.
• 5+ years of experience working with injection molds in a manufacturing environment.
• Hands-on experience with mold maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Ability to read engineering drawings, mold assembly drawings, and technical specifications.
• Experience with measuring equipment such as calipers, micrometers, indicators, and gauges.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on injection molds.
• Disassemble, clean, inspect, and reassemble molds according to maintenance schedules.
• Troubleshoot mold-related issues and repair components such as cavities, cores, slides, and cooling systems.
• Maintain mold service records and collaborate with production, maintenance, engineering, tooling suppliers, and quality teams.
