Job summary

EssilorLuxottica, Oakley’s parent company, seeks a skilled Tool Room Technician to maintain high-quality tooling for plastic injection molds. You will disassemble, repair, and reassemble molds, while collaborating with Process Engineers to troubleshoot issues and reduce downtime.

The role requires 1–3 years in a tool room, ability to read tooling drawings, and strong communication. Applicants should be able to work overtime as needed and maintain a clean, safe workspace on the production floor.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years hands‑on experience in a tool room for plastic injection mold repair or mold maintenance.
• Ability to read and understand tooling drawings.
• Good verbal and written communication; basic computer skills.
• Willingness to work more than 8 hours a day, weekends and holidays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Read and follow tooling drawings and instructions.
• Disassemble and assemble molds safely and promptly.
• Clean molds and assist maintenance technicians as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Operate measurement tools (micrometers, calipers, height gauge).
• Troubleshoot issues and repair tooling on the production floor.
