Job summary

EssilorLuxottica's Dudley, MA facility seeks an injection molding operator to maintain a high‑quality production line for optic lenses. You will run precision molding machines, perform set‑ups, changeovers, and audits, and support cross‑functional teams to ensure safety, quality, and on‑time production.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, mechanical aptitude, and manual dexterity, with 1–2 years plastics manufacturing preferred.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to a high school diploma or GED.
• Mechanical aptitude and manual dexterity.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor precision injection molding machines.
• Perform process setup to conform to ISO procedures.
• Perform changeovers (shutdown, mold removal, insert replacement).
• Conduct online product audits and record parameters.
• Interpret and adjust process parameters to specs.
• Perform mold setups and use forklift to hang molds.
• Conduct cavity checks and audits.
• Use gauges to verify Power/Curve/Stress; log data.
• Identify defects and track defective products.
• Assist engineering and other departments as needed.
