Job summary

EssilorLuxottica Oakley Mold Tech in Lake Forest, CA is seeking an experienced CNC programmer and machinist to set up and operate both automatic and manual CNC machines, and to read complex CAD drawings for injection mold components.

You will create CNC programs, perform mold maintenance, and collaborate with mold Design Engineers to improve processes while maintaining safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent.
5+ years CNC programming and machining experience.
Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
Ability to perform complex setups.
Experience with injection mold maintenance and repairs.
Proficient in reading CAD drawings and interpreting specifications.
Strong attention to detail and teamwork.

Responsibilities

Sets up and operates CNC machines (automatic and manual) as needed.
Creates CNC programs with CAM software.
Performs mold repair, machining, grinding, and related maintenance.
Collaborates with Mold Design Engineers to optimize processes.
Interprets complex CAD drawings and mold component specs.
Maintains daily records and ensures shop cleanliness and safety.
