Employment Group is seeking experienced Mold Setters / Setup Technicians for opportunities in Marshall, MI. Candidates must have hands‑on injection moulding setup experience, including mould changes, machine setup, and production startup activities.
What You'll Do
- Serve as a positive example by maintaining 100% compliance with all safety, lockout/tagout (LOTO), preventive maintenance, and quality standards. Learn and audit machine safety features and lockout procedures; address safety or quality concerns promptly.
- Assist with mould setups, changeovers, and setup reduction initiatives to improve efficiency.
- Support continuous improvement activities and process enhancements.
- Perform first-piece and last-piece inspections against master samples to ensure quality standards are met.
- Assist in maintaining equipment in safe working conditions to minimise downtime.
- Help perform, document, and track preventive maintenance activities and equipment repairs.
- Maintain setup sheets for each mould and machine combination, including bills of material and applicable drawings.
- Assist the Supervisor and Process Technician with production scheduling and workflow coordination.
- Maintain raw material levels at assigned machines.
- Move finished product to designated storage locations.
- Keep work areas clean, organised, and safe throughout the shift and following job completion.
- Provide operator coverage during breaks and lunches as needed.
- Support production requirements by operating equipment when necessary.
- Perform injection moulding operator duties as required.
- Learn, follow, and support all company policies, procedures, work instructions, and quality system requirements.
What You'll Bring
- High School Diploma or GED required
- 3+ years of injection moulding setup experience required
- Experience performing mould changes, machine setups, startups, and troubleshooting
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem‑solving skills
- Knowledge of injection moulding processes and quality standards
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
- Reliable attendance and dependable work ethic
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills and experience maintaining production or setup documentation
