Job summary

ExecuSource is seeking a Mold Setup Technician for injection molding and thermoforming processes in Easley, SC. This hands-on role supports mold changes, equipment setup, and process improvements on a 2nd shift schedule (Mon-Fri, 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM).

You will load and position molds, monitor presses, and train operators while maintaining quality and safety standards in a team-focused manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 6+ months in plastic manufacturing or molding preferred.
• Experience with injection molding or thermoforming.
• Ability to read blueprints and work instructions.
• Forklift experience preferred or ability to obtain certification.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to work independently and manage time.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold changes and setup for injection molding and thermoforming machines.
• Load and position molds into presses and complete changeovers.
• Set up and adjust auxiliary equipment (heat controllers, chillers, thermolators).
• Monitor machine operation and adjust settings to ensure product quality.
• Perform preventive maintenance and cleaning of molds and equipment.
• Inspect molds for defects and ensure proper storage.
• Complete documentation for all changeovers and setups.
• Troubleshoot production issues and support process improvements.
• Train and assist operators on machine usage and safety.
• Safely operate forklifts and other equipment as needed.

• Forklift experience preferred (or ability to obtain certification)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
• Good communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles is a plus
