Job summary

Schaefer Plastics North America, LLC is seeking a Process Assistant / Mold Setter to support daily production in the Plastics Division. You will perform safe mold changes, prep machines and auxiliary equipment, and assist with mold and hot-stamp setup while supporting maintenance, safety, and production needs.

The ideal candidate has experience around injection molding machines, die setting, or related manufacturing, with strong attention to detail and reliability.

Qualifications

• Experience working with injection molding machines or die/mold changes.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe work practices.
• Willingness to work all shifts and overtime as required.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold changes safely and efficiently according to procedures.
• Review production paperwork to ensure correct mold and version before changes.
• Set up auxiliary equipment for production runs.
• Verify correct end-of-arm tooling is installed and ready.
• Ensure mold preventive maintenance is completed on schedule.
• Assist with preventive maintenance on cart molds and related PM work.
• Complete hot stamp die changes as required.
• Assist Maintenance Technicians with repairs to machines, molds, and equipment.
• Support safety initiatives and maintain a clean, hazard-free workspace.
• Provide shift coverage as needed by supervision.
