Job summary

Schaefer Plastics North America, LLC in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Process Assistant / Mold Setter to support daily production in the Plastics Division, performing mold changes and setting up machines and tooling.

The role requires experience around injection molding, attention to safety, and flexibility to work 2-2-3 night shifts and overtime as needed.

You will collaborate with maintenance, safety, and production teams to keep lines running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of experience in or around injection molding machines or mold changes.
• Basic computer skills and good communication.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions and maintain safety.
• Willing to work all shifts and overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold changes safely and efficiently according to procedures.
• Prepare machines and auxiliary equipment for production.
• Verify end-of-arm tooling is correct and ready for production.
• Maintain and complete preventive maintenance on hot stamp machines.
• Assist maintenance and support safety and production needs.
• Communicate concerns to supervision and follow safety rules.
