Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• 1+ year of injection molding Mold Setter experience.
• Good mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand tools.
• Knowledge of process parameters (pressure, speed, heat, time).
• Familiar with plastic injection molding machines and related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Safely remove and install plastic injection molds, incl. hydraulic cores.
• Consistently produce good parts to time standards via standard processes.
• Start machines at production start and ensure part quality.
• Inspect parts and adjust processes to fix defects (splay, flash, jets).
• Read and follow work orders; suggest edits to improve procedures.
• Record cycle times, shot weights, setup/start times, and scrap.
• Shut down jobs for mold changeovers; troubleshoot with team.
• Communicate area status to supervisors and next shift.
• Cover machine operation during breaks as needed.
