Responsibilities

• Perform mold and die changes according to production schedules.
• Install, remove, and secure molds in injection molding machines.
• Verify machine settings and startup conditions before production release.
• Troubleshoot mold setup and processing issues to minimize downtime.
• Perform first-piece inspections and support quality verification during startup.
• Complete mold cleaning and preventive maintenance as required.
• Maintain setup/changeover records and assist with repairs.

Job description

Position Summary

• Perform mold and die changes according to production schedules
• Install, remove, and secure molds in injection molding machines
• Verify proper machine settings and startup conditions before releasing equipment to production
• Troubleshoot mold setup, startup, and processing issues to minimize downtime
• Perform first-piece inspections and support quality verification during startup
• Complete mold cleaning and preventive maintenance activities as required
• Safely operate overhead cranes, hoists, and mold handling equipment
• Maintain accurate setup, changeover, and maintenance records
• Assist Process Technicians and Maintenance personnel with equipment troubleshooting and repairs
• Follow all safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) requirements
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S standards
• Support continuous improvement activities to reduce setup times and improve productivity

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Ability to safely use overhead cranes and mold handling equipment
• Strong mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read setup sheets, process documentation, and work instructions
• Ability to lift up to 55 pounds
• Ability to climb ladders and work around manufacturing equipment
