Job summary

The role of the Production Support: Paint Line team member is to handle all daily tasks associated with operating the paint line and waste treatment systems.

Essential Functions (duties and tasks summary):

Team members must be able to perform, with or without reasonable accommodations, the essential functions of the role which may include, but are not limited to the following:

• Follows company 6s policies
• Assure proper operation of paint system
• Sets and maintains paint line to specific standards to assure various parts are painted to customer quality standards
• Works with hazardous and non-hazardous waste to insures proper containment, handling, labeling and shipment
• Working closely with other departments to improve efficiency and quality control. Assures the quality of painted parts
• Understands and can communicate ALL aspects required for ISO 14001 and ISO 9000 and other environmental activities within their scope of work
• Learns and understands how to trouble shoot various problems
• Operates and controls all water treated prior to sending to the city
• Inventory management within the department
• Maintains and preforms PM scheduled operations on the paint line
• Is versatile and capable of multi-tasking

While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be exposed to conditions of heat in the summer and cold in the winter and will work near moving mechanical parts. Uniform clothing and PPE provisions are provided by the company and are designed to assist with these conditions. Team members are also exposed to noise, which may require the use of hearing protection in certain areas.

This is a full-time shift-work position. Overtime is required as needed to meet customer demand and may involve weekend work.
