Job summary

Thogus is seeking an entry-level Mold Set-Up Technician for first shift in Avon Lake, Ohio. You will perform mold changes, set-up, and routine equipment inspection to prepare the work cell for production runs.

Responsibilities include cleaning, coordinating with supervision and other departments, data entry into IQMS, and supporting Lean initiatives. A mechanical background and willingness to learn are preferred; on-the-job training is provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• 1–3 years related experience or training preferred.
• Manufacturing or plastics experience preferred.
• Mechanical background is ideal.
• On the job training provided.
• Basic knowledge of injection molding desirable.

Responsibilities

• Perform mold changeover and set-up for plastic molding machines and auxiliaries.
• Clean press area and prep equipment for next job.
• Configure equipment to contain parts as they exit the mold.
• Coordinate with supervisors and other departments to schedule priorities.
• Enter downtime data into IQMS and view schedules.
• Support troubleshooting and cross-train in other departments.
• Maintain clean work environment and follow safety policies.
• Participate in Lean activities.
• Perform other duties to support the organization.
