Job summary

GPAC is seeking a Mold Maker in Michigan to produce tools, dies, and guiding devices, reading blueprints, and planning operations. You will collaborate with programmers to ensure designs meet specifications and deadlines.

The ideal candidate has a high school or vocational background with math, blueprint reading, and metalworking coursework, strong mechanical aptitude, and good problem-solving and communication skills. Safety and quality are emphasized throughout the role.

Qualifications

• High school or vocational education with courses in mathematics, blueprint reading, metalworking, and drafting is a prerequisite.

Responsibilities

• Plan operation sequences from blueprints or instructions to manufacture tools or dies.
• Use hand tools to fit and assemble gauges and other equipment.
• Complete a die to a promising date and produce samples per specs.
• Make prototype molds from materials like aluminum, bronze, etc.
• Communicate daily with programmers to progress projects.
• Promote guest relations; respond to needs; maintain privacy and confidentiality.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
