Job summary

ALPLA Group in Florence, KY is seeking a Maintenance Technician focused on mold maintenance and machine upkeep. You will perform cleaning, inspection, preventative tasks, and documentation to keep mold-related equipment in top condition.

The role involves machining tasks, inventory control for mold parts, and collaboration with planners to align toolroom activities with production goals. Schedule: 6am to 2:30 pm.

Qualifications

• Mechanical ability to perform mold and machine maintenance.
• Proficiency with computers for documentation and records.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate forklifts.

Responsibilities

• Mold maintenance: cleaning, inspecting, preventative maintenance, documentation.
• Machining: modifying and repairing parts, sandblasting molds, sharpening tools, reporting issues.
• Inventory control: maintain mold drawings and spare parts records, order replacements.
• Coordinate with Production Planners to align toolroom activities with production goals.
• Liaise with plant and external mold vendors; manage documentation and technical department contact.

Main Responsibilities:

• Mold Maintenance

  • Sharpening cutting rings and stitch knives
  • Reports damaged equipment to Toolmaker/Production Manager
• Inventory Control
  • Maintain accurate/current records of all mold-related drawings
  • Maintain accurate quantities of all mold-related spare parts
  • Orders spare and/or replacement parts as needed
• Work closely with Production Planners to align toolroom activities and mold readiness with overall production goals through mold maintenance activities
• Liaison between plant and external mold vendors
  • Supplies needed documentation
  • Acts as main contact for technical department
• Maintains communication between the NOAM Mold Specialists on all mold related matters

What Makes You Great

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• 1-2 years of manufacturing or related experience
• Previous experience in mold maintenance/preparation is preferred

Qualifications/Skills:

• Mechanical ability
• Good computer skills
• Must be able to lift up to 50lbs
• Able to operate Forklifts
