Job summary

ALPLA, a global leader in sustainable packaging, is hiring at its Marked Tree, AR facility. The role covers production line responsibility from setup to packaging, monitoring materials, and maintaining quality throughout the shift.

You will assist with mold changes, ensure accurate quantities, and keep precise records, contributing to a safe, efficient operation. Candidates should have a high school diploma or equivalent, a mechanical aptitude, and basic computer skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical/mechanical background in Plastics Industry preferred.
• Basic computer skills required.
• Demonstrated mechanical ability required.

Responsibilities

• Overall line responsibility from production to packaging. Start/stop the machine.
• Monitor material control (weight distribution, regrind levels, tail lengths).
• Perform regular quality control checks during the shift.
• Prepare machine for mold changes.
• Ensure goods are produced in correct quantity per specifications.
• Accurately record goods produced and issues.

What Will You Enjoy Doing

To achieve and maintain company established goals in efficiency, quality and safety by following all procedures.

Main Responsibilities:

• Overall line responsibility from production to packaging Start / Stop the machine
• Monitor Material control (weight distribution, regrind levels, watch tail lengths, etc)
• Performs regular quality control throughout the shift and visual quality checks
• Prepare machine for mold change
• Ensure goods are produced in correct quantity and in accordance with agreed specifications
• Accurately records goods produced, and problems encountered during shift
• Autonomous maintenance activities
• Assists Machine Operator II/Shift Supervisor/Mold Change Team with mold/color changes as needed
• Working together in a Team Ensure team works together as efficiently as possible
• Maintain good housekeeping in and around the machine and within department

Qualifications and Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required
• Technical/mechanical background in Plastics Industry preferred
• Basic computer skills
• Demonstrated mechanical ability
