Job summary

Meritec in Ohio seeks a skilled Tool & Die Maker to lay out, machine, fit, assemble and finish plastic injection molds. You will read blueprints and verify dimensions, ensuring precise molds for production.

Required are a high school diploma and at least five years in a similar role. The position includes mold repair duties and a path for growth within a diversified, on-site manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum of five years experience in a similar position required.
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and procedures.
• Ability to apply algebra and geometry concepts.

Responsibilities

• Study blueprints of product and die or mold for specifications.
• Plan sequence of operations, visualizing shape of die or mold in reverse of product.
• Measure, mark, and scribe metal stock to lay out for machining.
• Grind parts to fit for assembly and to smooth and finish cavity.
• Assemble die or mold and verify dimensions.
• Repair of molds as needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
