MSI Mold Builders in Cedar Rapids, IA is seeking a full-time Mold Designer to join a dynamic and innovative team. You will create models and drawings for plastic injection molds using Creo or SolidWorks, and generate BOMs for production.

The role emphasizes parting lines, cooling, ejection, and mechanism design that balances manufacturability with customer reliability; the ideal candidate has a High School diploma and is pursuing an Associate's degree, with strong communication and teamwork.

Qualificações

• High School Diploma and working towards Associate's degree or equivalent.
• Do you have solid communication skills, both written and verbal? If so, you might be perfect.
• One year of related experience or training is acceptable or equivalent combination.

Responsabilidades

• As Mold Designer, you will utilize Creo or SolidWorks to create models, drawings, and BOMs for plastic injection molds.
• You will perform part model analysis, mass properties calculations, and interference checks.
• Mold designs should include parting lines, cooling, ejection, and mechanisms balancing manufacturability and customer needs.
