Job summary

Colonial Group is seeking an Operator, Assembly to support molding and assembly operations at our facility. The role involves reading instructions, assembling parts, inspecting quality, and maintaining equipment with a focus on safety and efficiency.

The position requires standing for the shift and the ability to lift up to 30 pounds, with routine use of simple hand tools and basic clerical tasks to log production data. Training provided to ensure adherence to 5S and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Reads, understands, and follows Operator Instruction Sheet to determine part numbers and packing requirements.
• Retrieves, inspects, counts, weighs, packs, and labels parts per instructions.
• Uses hand tools to trim, cut, and prepare parts per safety procedures.
• Operates molding machines and/or air activated tools to assemble or produce product.
• Observes and reports machine malfunctions and product quality variances.
• Compares, inspects, and monitors production quality against approved samples.
• Performs simple clerical tasks recording and summarizing production.
• Maintains clean work station and assists with mold changes and break coverage.
