Job summary

Dermatology Medical Partners is seeking a dedicated Mohs Technician to support Mohs surgery cases and histology processes. The role involves tissue preparation, staining, and slide handling, with travel between Sarasota and Tampa clinics.

The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and comfortable coordinating multiple projects with a team of lab staff. A High School Diploma or equivalent is required.

Qualifications

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perform good quality frozen sectioning of Mohs and routine tissue for diagnostic purposes at a fast pace.
• Knowledge and experience with the performance of routine Hematoxylin and Eosin staining.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to record and report properly.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Well-organized with attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Prepares tissue samples (Mohs and frozen sections) for diagnostic evaluation.
• Monitors quality control documentation and reports variances.
• Maintains all equipment per protocols and OSHA safety.
• Sets up staining station and processes slides.
• Delivers slides to viewing areas and maintains cleanliness of lab.
