Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a Histology Technician I to support Mohs surgeons and the Histology Lab Supervisor in preparing and processing skin tissue for rapid pathology review.

The onsite role involves freezing, embedding, staining, and labeling tissue sections, operating a cryostat, and maintaining quality control under tight time constraints in a fast-paced Mohs histology lab near fellow technicians.

Qualificações

• Associate's degree in Histologic Technology required.
• ASCP BOC histology certification required.
• Two to four years Mohs histology lab experience preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Laboratory Procedures: Specimen handling, processing, slide preparation and staining (85%).
• Equipment Maintenance & Lab Safety: coordinate preventative maintenance and ensure cleanliness of equipment (10%).
• Quality Control and Administration: assist with CLIA inspections readiness and related duties (5%).
