General Dynamics Electric Boat Corp. is seeking a Module Lead to oversee Engine Room or Exterior modules for SSBN 826 construction at the Groton shipyard. The role requires coordinating with trades, reviewing drawings, and guiding multidisciplinary teams through the build sequence.

You will participate in shipyard meetings, manage change notices, and ensure timely resolution of emergent issues to support final assembly and delivery.

Competenze

• 0-4 years post-graduate engineering experience is required.
• Bachelor of Science in Engineering by December 2026 is required.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance or higher is required.
• Ability to work weekends and extended hours as needed is required.

Mansioni

• Providing engineering oversight to emergent shipyard issues that arise during construction and communicate Engineering assessments with Shipyard and Trade Management.
• Support trades daily in navigating the disclosures and work packages, as well as understanding the build sequence
• Ensuring drawing revisions and change notices that support construction activities are being prioritized and worked by both construction support and design & engineering
• Attending production meetings (daily startup, plan of the day, shift turnover), providing status of holdups, and driving completion of actions supporting construction such as work package development, material procurement, and Change Request/Change Notice processing
• Working in a project capacity to communicate the risks for the project and provide a technical discussion of emerging issues to facilitate integration of Engineering with the shipyard
• Conducting multidisciplinary engineering evaluations to support all manufacturing and construction needs
• Support testing, certification events and government certification meetings
