Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical or electrical engineering, or equivalent substantial engineering experience (7-10+ years).
• Experience with commercial or industrial MEP design and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Hands‑on experience carrying designs through fabrication, construction, installation, testing, or commissioning.
• Working with fabrication, production, construction or field installation teams to resolve design issues.
• Ability to evaluate products, materials, equipment and processes for cost, manufacturability and installation efficiency.
• Working knowledge of applicable building and trade codes.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, or comparable design software.
• Strong communication with engineers, fabricators, installers, purchasing and permitting authorities.
• Evidence of successful value engineering with measurable cost savings or improved reliability.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate MEP systems from concept through fabrication, installation, testing and commissioning.
• Develop and review HVAC, cooling‑loop piping, electrical distribution, plumbing, controls and equipment layouts.
• Evaluate heat loads, utility requirements, equipment capacity, redundancy and site connections.
• Lead value engineering to reduce cost, material use, labor and installation time while maintaining performance and safety.
• Collaborate with fabrication, production, purchasing and installation teams to improve constructability and standardize components.
• Prepare or oversee calculations, drawings, specifications, equipment schedules and design documentation.
• Resolve design, fabrication and installation issues in shop and field.
• Coordinate with engineering partners and permitting authorities for Missouri and Arkansas projects.
• Develop repeatable design details, fabrication standards, installation procedures and quality checks.
