Job summary

Inherent-L3c is seeking a Production Engineering Drafter to translate approved architectural and engineering designs into precise drawings for modular home production. You will work with design, engineering, procurement, factory production, and site operations to ensure drawings reflect approved requirements and practical construction methods.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certificate in drafting/architectural technology or equivalent practical experience.
• 2–4 years drafting experience in residential construction, manufacturing, or related environment.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural plans, structural drawings, specs, and MEP layouts.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, or comparable drafting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain shop drawings, assembly drawings, sections, details, and layouts for modular home production.
• Develop drawings for framing, floor and roof assemblies, wall panels, MEP coordination, and finish components.
• Translate approved plans and engineering requirements into dimensions, details, and instructions for production teams.
• Incorporate material specs, connection details, tolerances, and installation requirements from design professionals.
• Prepare drawing-based material lists, cut lists, and quantity takeoffs for procurement and production planning.
• Review documents for inconsistencies and coordination conflicts; communicate questions and solutions to architects or engineers.
• Coordinate with production teams to ensure drawings support safe, efficient, repeatable assembly.
• Visit the factory floor to verify dimensions and resolve drawing-related questions.
• Maintain revision histories and drawing release procedures.
