Champion Modular in McMinnville, OR is seeking a Drafter to join our manufacturing team on-site. This role focuses on creating model drawings and detailed construction drawings for homes, using CAD to support design and production.

You will work with Sales and customers to draft designs, ensure code compliance, and prepare drawings for third-party approvals, with opportunities to contribute to efficient layouts and accurate documentation.

Qualifications

• Associates degree or 2–5 years’ AutoCAD experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2015 or newer.
• Solid understanding of US building codes.

Responsibilities

• Creates designs from rough sketches, drawings and customer input.
• Drafts detailed construction drawings for walls, roofs, floors, plumbing and electrical systems.
• Uses CAD to produce precise detail drawings.
• Drafts drawings for third‑party agency approvals.
• Confers with Production and Quality Control to resolve design issues.
• Lays out and modifies home arrangements and systems.
• Ensures compliance with US commercial and residential building codes.
• Generates calculations for analysis using approved software.
